Paper cheques will disappear in France

From 1 April 2023 in France, paper cheques will only be available at the customer's request. The automatic printing of cheques after the payment will be stopped. This measure will reduce a significant amount of ink and paper.

In fact, this solution may seem insignificant, but it  ultimately reduces the consumption of 30 billion pieces of paper per year. It is estimated that 2.5 million trees are cut down each year for cheques that will be thrown away as soon as they leave the shop.
