France will start recycling lighters

The French company BIC has created  a  machine that  is  able  to  disassemble lighters into 19 available elements  in  detail. The parts  are  then sent  for  recycling  in order to produce new lighters in the future. Used and broken lighters will be collected from tobacco shops.

Broken lighters are also disassembled by the machine. The parts are then sorted and shredded. Plastic powder can be used to make household items and metal powder can be used to make machine parts.
