«B3-MED» integrated PharmFrame into the MedWork medical information system

«B3-MED» has begun collaborating with Master Lab, the developer of the medical information system (MIS) MedWork, which is used by hundreds of public and private medical organizations in Russia.

The IT product «B3-MED» — the PharmFrame screening system, which allows checking the safety of medication prescriptions taking into account patient-specific factors across 15 potential risks — will be integrated into the MedWork MIS:

• Risks of interactions between prescribed medications.
• Risks of interactions between prescribed medications and food.
• Risks of interactions between prescribed medications and alcohol.
• Risks of allergic reactions.
• Risks of therapy duplication due to polypharmacy.
• Risks related to the patient’s age.
• Risks related to the patient’s sex.
• Risks of medication use during breastfeeding.
• Risks of medication use during pregnancy.
• Risks of medication use with comorbid conditions.
• Risks of medication use while driving.
• Risks of prescribing medications in excessive doses.
• Risks of prescribing medications without proven efficacy.
• Risks of prescribing medications not included in Russian clinical guidelines.
• Risk of exceeding the medication duration recommended in Russian clinical guidelines and/or in medication instructions.

Master Lab announced the start of the collaboration at the 4th International Scientific and Practical Forum «Gunshot Wound. Damage Surgery» — the largest event in the field of treatment technologies for the wounded and military field surgery.

At the Forum, representatives of Master Lab demonstrated PharmFrame based on MedWork and also spoke about the specifics of MIS operation in military medical organizations, using the medical rehabilitation module as an example.

Thus, due to the PharmFrame system integrated into the MedWork MIS, medical organizations will be able to improve the safety of medication prescriptions, including medical care to Russian military personnel.
