The Big Three at the BRICS Forum in Zaryadye

On September 19, the session ‘Water Resources of BRICS Cities’ was held in the Green Hall, where the participants discussed current drinking water supply programs and the concept of the ‘right to water’. The session presented innovative technologies and initiatives aimed at improving water quality, rehabilitating waterways and protecting ecosystems. Participants shared successful cases on water management and discussed integration of new treatment and waste management methods into urban infrastructure.

The session was moderated by Artem Akshintsev, an ecologist and researcher at the Institute of Water Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Speakers included Tebogo Modiba, Executive Director of the Johannesburg Department of Environment and Infrastructure, Artem Sedov, CEO of Big Troika, as well as leading experts from Russia, including Anna Kurbatova and Sergey Abramenko. We spoke about our solutions and shared our experience of implementing complex information systems in the economic activities of large cities.

The forum ‘Cloud Cities. Forum on the Future of BRICS Cities’ in Zaryadye is an international platform dedicated to the exchange of experience and ideas in the field of digitalization and cloud technologies for sustainable development of BRICS cities.

Participants, including representatives of governments, businesses and academia, discuss innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of urban infrastructure, resource management and quality of life. The forum program includes panel discussions, master classes and an exhibition of technologies aimed at creating smart and environmentally friendly cities.
