B3 Hackathon named among the best IT competitions in Russia at the Hackathons of Russia — 2026 Award

The online B3 Hackathon, organized by Big Three, was named among the best IT competitions in Russia at the national Hackathons of Russia — 2026 Award, receiving four awards across different categories.

Based on the evaluation by the expert community, the B3 Hackathon placed:

  • 1st place in the "Best Hackathon for IT Product Development" category for its product-driven approach: from hypothesis testing to creating a working prototype ready for further development after the competition.
  • 2nd place in the "Debut of the Year" category for a confident launch of a new hackathon that demonstrated a high level of organization and participant engagement from its very first edition.
  • 2nd place in the "Best Online Hackathon" category.
  • 3rd place in the "Best Product Hackathon" category, confirming the effectiveness of the chosen competition model focused on creating real digital solutions.

The Hackathons of Russia Award is a national professional prize in the field of organizing and running hackathons and IT competitions. Its goal is to identify and promote best industry practices, unite the professional community, and develop a culture of product competitions. In 2026, the award recognized projects implemented in 2025; the ceremony took place on July 3.

The online B3 Hackathon ran from February 27 to March 3, 2025, and was focused on solving a real business challenge for the company. Over five days, participants developed an employee training module for the B3 corporate platform. The project attracted strong interest: 465 participants from Russia and Belarus registered, registration closed early, and 45 teams reached the finals.

A defining feature of the hackathon was its practical format: participants worked on a task with direct application to the company's product development. The best solutions were passed on for further development, and the most successful participants received job offers at Big Three.

The awards recognized the company's product-driven approach to organizing IT competitions and confirmed that the B3 Hackathon is an effective platform for discovering promising solutions, developing talent, and building a professional community around digital products.

The Award organizers also invited Big Three representatives to join the expert community in the next season and expressed interest in further collaboration.
