The Life of Remarkable Medicines

On May 30, the Library for Natural Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow hosted the popular science lecture “The Life of Remarkable Medicines” by Evgeny Korovin, Development Director of B3-MED and a physician by training.

The lecture covered how the modern drug development system works: from clinical trials and regulatory reforms to big data, pharmacovigilance, and the line between evidence-based medicine and marketing.

Evgeny Korovin explained why some drugs become breakthroughs while others turn out to be disappointments, how tragedies in the history of drug development shaped today’s safety requirements, and what health data can be trusted.

Evgeny Korovin’s participation in the lecture was part of B3-MED’s educational efforts, alongside the development of the popular science channel “Take Your Pills!” and the MedIQ project. The company supports initiatives that help people better understand medicine, navigate information about drugs, and make more responsible health decisions.
