Participated in the Startup Village in Skolkovo

Startup Village is a place where scientists, entrepreneurs and investors come together to form new ideas and teams, and where new businesses capable of conquering global markets are born.

Big Troika took part in the panel ‘Hyperjump fr om Lab to Market. Fine-tuning the leadership system in technology’, wh ere, together with our colleagues, we discussed several challenges that startups face on their way.

Legal aspects and liability. Although the process of becoming a legal entity has become easier, in practice it requires significant effort and trusted people, especially in the initial stages when finances are limited.

Technology leadership. We see a fair number of ‘technology passionaries’ but often face the problem of unfinished projects and delayed time to market, leading to financial constraints and the resulting fear of failure.

Self-esteem of technology professionals. Many talented developers tend to be modest and underestimate their capabilities, which prevents them from seeing the real value of their ideas and innovations.

Government and infrastructure support. We highly appreciate the support of the Skolkovo Foundation. However, when it comes to micro-grants, we suggest considering an alternative scenario: instead of direct funding, we suggest giving startups access to the necessary resources through infrastructure partners. This will allow for a more efficient use of resources and give startups the opportunity to scale their technologies.
